We believe when diversity is celebrated through the arts, community members may find common respect, understanding and belonging with other cultures as well as their own.

The Southside Arts Initiative is a 501c3 non profit organization started by Megan Lawson and Kristin Green in 2024. We launched our first festival, Southside Music and Arts, in July 2024.  The festival supported 50 local artisans, 4 local musicians, and raised money for the Kaua’i YWCA. 

We are continuing to support and celebrate diversity in Kaua’i through an annual music and arts festival on the Southside of Kaua’i. Each year our festival raises money and awareness for an existing Kaua’i nonprofit organization while also supporting locally owned businesses and musicians.
